Adel Abdessemed "Description of a Struggle" at the Wilde Gallery
Since 2005 Adel Abdessemed has been working with printed sheet metal, which can be found as tin cans and is used throughout North Africa to make small tourist souvenirs. Instead of creating small sculptures and toys, Abdessemed combines the metal into majestic and visually stunning images. Each picture carries an inscription, not a title, but a note that opens the conceptual space within.
