Call for Proposals for a workshop

Lisbon, Portugal

The last two decades have witnessed an extraordinary number of occurrences of mostly urban protest movements connected to heritage: from Rhodes Must Fall to Black Lives Matter to the Stop Oil interventionists. The workshop Iconoclash 2.0: Epistemologies, affects and the politics of undoing heritage (Lisbon, April 9-11, 2026) invites contributions from scholars who are looking beyond the “curative normal” in heritage studies.
